On October 4, 2010 we left Washington DC to ride our motorcycles through North America, Central America, and South America.  On February 6, 2011, we reached our goal destination in Ushuaia, Argentina after riding 15,830 miles (25,328 km) followed by another 2,182 miles (3,491 km) to return to Buenos Aires to ship our bikes to Washington DC.  We ended our trip on February 21, 2011 after covering a total of 18,012 miles (28,819 km) and spending 141 days on the road.

I, Vadim Ovchinnikov, and my friend, Gintaras Sadauskas, thank you for visiting our site.  We hope you will find it informative and fun to read.  In September 2009, we decided to take this trip to see the world, learn about other cultures, and of course ride our motorcycles.  During our adventure, we visited the following countries:

  • 1. United States
  • 2. Mexico
  • 3. Guatemala
  • 4. El Salvador
  • 5. Honduras
  • 6. Nicaragua
  • 7. Costa Rica
  • 8. Panama
  • 9. Colombia
  • 10. Ecuador (Including
    Galapogos Islands)
  • 11. Peru
  • 12. Chile
  • 13. Argentina (including
    Iguazu Falls in Argentina/Brazil)
  • 14. Antarctica

Both of us were riding the same bikes
– BMW R1200 GS Adventure.  We had the beginner’s
knowledge of Spanish and solely relied on ourselves, our
motorcycles, and the support of our families, friends, and
adventure admirers.  We met many amazing travelers and
had many fun and unique experiences.

The Blog, Photo Gallery, and Video Gallery sections of the website
contain our experiences by country.  We hope that you enjoy our site
and visit us frequently!  If you have any questions or suggestions,
please feel free to Contact us.

Thank you,

Vadim Ovchinnikov and Gintaras Sadauskas
