  • Day 77 – 24 km hike to the Volcano (Island Isabella, Galapogos, Ecuador)

    Woke up early, confusion with the clocks, walked to volcano (Negra… and Chico), ten people, walking 7 hours, 24 km round-trip distance, truck, guide spoke some Russian, jungle road, huge crater at Volcan Negra (12km in diameter making it second biggest volcano in the world) .   • Day 76 – Island Isabella – Amazing Nature (Island Isabella, Galapogos, Ecuador)

    Nice breakfast, took a boat to Tintorellas, two in a boat, saw couple of penguins, thousands of iguanas, frigates, few sea lions, sharks swimming with turtles, spitting iguanas, Vadim snorkeling with sea lions, many sea lions on fishermen boats, people selling lobsters.  .     No breakfast at the hotel, nice meal at a nearby restaurant (pancakes), went to El Chato turtle reserve, Vadim riding the turtle (yes, the turtle had fun too), and lava tunnel squeezing through a low underpass.  .
