We took a tour visiting the plant producing olive oil. It was very interesting to see all the equipment (some of which was quite old) used in olive oil production. We were taught to differentiate the different types of olive oil. This portion of the tour was very educational.
In the second half of the day we visited two wineries – a large one and a boutique one. We learned about the different types of wines (both red and white) produced in Mendoza…from fermentation to aging to bottling and storing. Each tour ended with wine tasting.
